Kick Cancer to the Curb
Living with cancer is hard, and it comes with a lot of garbage you never imagined you’d be dealing with. It can leave you feeling physically and emotionally exhausted, and isolated from the rest of the world. At Steve’s Sanitation, we believe in taking care of our neighbors the best we can.
We’ve seen people within our company, valued clients throughout the communities we serve struggle with cancer, and we would like you to know that you’re not fighting this alone. Steve’s Sanitation is teaming up with people across Otter Tail County and Becker County to do what we can to Kick Cancer to the Curb!
You Do Not Fight Alone
Maybe you’ve caught sight of the bright pink garbage cans parked out on the curb on garbage day and wondered what they are all about. Steve’s Sanitation is proud to be part of the Kick Cancer to the Curb program, developed by Cascade Cart Solutions in collaboration with the American Cancer Society. $5 from the purchase of every cart goes to the American Cancer Society to be used in the fight against breast cancer. This program allows our customers to make a monetary donation to end breast cancer, to serve the needs of their neighbors, and offers a visible reminder to all cancer patients that we are here for them. We’re fighting for them. We remember them.
Serving Our Neighbors
When you choose to join Steve’s Sanitation in this program, you’ll also be serving your neighbors through a one-time minimum fee of $25 (more is welcome!) for use of The Pink Cart. Clients from Becker County with see their donations go to Red River Valley Hospice. Customers from from Ottertail County will provide funds to LB Homes. The cart remains with you for as long as you are a customer.

Join the Fight!
We’ve challenged ourselves to adorn the streets with hope, encouragement and solidarity, but we can’t do it without you!
Kelly, owner of Steve’s Sanitation, said it best, “We’ve had people in our company struggle with cancer and hospice has helped them out. We want to keep the money local because we are committed to helping the community. They don’t deny people and we’ve had great experiences with them.”
